Holm View badminton club is a long established club based in Barry, South Wales. We play two evenings a week, Sunday (7-9pm) and Tuesday (8-10pm) at Colcot Sports Centre, Colcot Road.

The Club has 7 teams that compete in the Cardiff and District Badminton League (CDBL). Some of our players have played at the highest levels and represented their county and country, whilst others play at a very good club level.

We currently have approx 30 members of all ages and abilities. Our Mens, Mixed and Ladies A teams all play in Division 1. Our other teams (seven in total) play in divisions 2 and 3. There is a spread of age and ability and we look to encourage our younger, junior players. Our youngest players are 17/18 and our oldest player …..has many years’ experience!

We enjoy playing badminton and have an active social side to the club, including nights out, trips and even short holidays away (see the Gallery). For those old enough, we meet after club nights down Wetherspoons in Barry, to discuss strategy and tactics! Our fees are very low in comparison to other clubs and can be paid monthly, we have reduced fees for juniors players under 18 and students.

• We particularly need additional Ladies to boost our strength for 2 Ladies teams. One is in Div One, the other Div 2

• Fees – Only £25 per month for adult members, £15 for students or visit for £8 a night.
