Holmview badminton Club is a long established club based in Barry, South Wales. We play twice a week at the Holmview Leisure Centre,  Tuesday and Sunday evenings from 7pm until 10pm.

The Club has several sides that compete in the Cardiff and District Badminton League (CDBL) at all levels to suit club players. Some of our players have played at the highest levels and represented their county and country, some have just watched and clapped!

New members are always welcome who may be interested in returning to badminton or improving their level, we particularly need additional Ladies.

We currently have approx. 30 members of all ages and abilities, our A teams play in Divison 1 and 2, our lower teams play in division 4, there is a diverse range of skills and ages. Our youngest players are 17 and our oldest player will soon have a free bus pass….you know who you are, no names.

We enjoy playing badminton and have a very active social side to the club. We attend all the league social events and organise several club events throughout the year outside of badminton. For those old enough, we meet most club nights after play down the Ty Newydd pub in Barry, to discuss strategy of course!

Our fees are low in comparison to other clubs and can be paid monthly, we have reduced fees for juniors players under 18. Current adult fees are £17.50 per month with no joining fee. Match fee’s are £3 per player if you are selected to play in the league.
